- The LightFama III. uses invisible infrared laser beam for long distance, quick and accurate pinpoint-aimed measurement, and DV video recording for the unambiguous identification of the target vehicle.
- LightFama III. is compact, light weight instrument as a single integrated mechanical/optical/electronic unit incorporating all the necessary subunits: the laser measuring device (Lidar), high resolution colour DV video camera, video recorder/player, colour monitor, the central controller unit and a pan and tilt head for convenient and precision aiming.
- Both manual measurements and automated measurements can be made. In the automated mode the record is triggered by the laser system via pre-settable speed limit value.
- The LightFama III. can be placed and operated from within the patrol car, or externally on a tripod. Simultaneously with the video recording, the LightFama III. provides audio recording.
- The aiming by the LCD monitor or view finder displays the true real time picture as the same as that being recorded. This feature permits visual recording of other traffic violations, too, e.g. jumping signals or dangerous driving, etc.
- The LightFama III. records on DV Tape/SD card all data necessary to prove the offence: aiming reticule, speed, year, month, day, hour, minute, second, visual and audio circumstances of the traffic offence, including the target vehicle's registration plate with good legibility.
